What to discuss during a meet and greet?
What is your furkid like? Describe your furkids to us in as much detail as possible.
Active, laid-back, loves human attention, skittish, shy or anxious?
Neutered, vaccinated, de-wormed and is given regular tick treatments?
Behaviour: Cats will scratch when approached? Scratches furniture? Uses litter box well, sometimes pees or poops outside litter box when stressed?
Special needs? Special medication, supplements, feeding diet (veterinary prescribed)?

Why home visits?
Leaving your cats in the comfort of their own home is a less stressful option to staying in a cat hotel or boarding. In addition, there is no travel stress for your cat and you do not have to worry about drop off and pick up times. Cats are territorial animals and do not like to be moved. Cats love routine and are accustomed to having their meals at the same place everyday with a time range (e.g. anytime in the morning and evening).
Can I trust Whiskers Pet Sitters?
Our pet sitting services are provided on a trust basis, and it goes both ways. This is why we offer an Introductory Meeting which is free of charge. This meeting will allow Pawrents and furkids to meet us, and for us to be introduced. We will discuss the details of the pet sitting, go through the routine and have clear instructions to follow to ensure the safety, well-being and happiness of your furkids in your homes. We have wonderful reviews from Pawrents, so don't just take our word for it.
How do I secure a booking?
Once we have completed the introductory meeting, we will confirm the dates of the booking and collect 100% payment upfront before the booking dates. Bookings are only confirmed when 100% payment is made.
Can I make a deposit to secure my booking?
Short answer - no. We have multiple pet sitting bookings, back-to-back and our schedules are incredibly busy during the holiday season. Payment must be made in full upfront to avoid having to send payment reminders long after the booking is completed. Our hands are always full, and we will be busy sending pet sitting updates to Pawrents who are AWAY.
